My Indi rank

                 This is a great start to my blog . Indi ranks are out, and surprisingly my blog has got 50th rank, not bad , not bad at all . I have been waiting for this moment from two months. Anyway I m so happy with my blogging frequency and posts too.I feel i deserve that rank and now i have to be  carefull about my writing skills.


                  Actually i didn't thought of writing this, now that i started writing a post , so i must share my interview experience of HCL comnet, ofcourse i will keep it short coz there is nothing much to boast  about myself . I got rejected in the 3rd round. Our college is CM engineering college and it is one of the institution of malla reddy family, so we have combined placement for almost 6-7 institutions.For any placement , be it a Bpo or software companies , there will be atleast of 1000 students competing for some 10-20 odd openings. We have Hcl comnet on 21st,there were about 1200 students who attended Written test.The rounds were Written test,self introductory ,GD n atlast HR,  comnet drastically eliminates people in these rounds.


                  I cleared the first two rounds with an ease , i din't have much problem . Coming to GD, we have to be carefull while speaking , any small mistake and you are out. our topic is "Mercy Killing" . I raised one point and sat silently for the rest of the discussion, I heard that too much active participation may jeopardize the impression  of campus recruiter. After 10 minutes we have our results , i was one among the other 4 people, who didn't make it to the next round. I was so depressed , later i came to know the real mistake i have done, and it was "eye contact" .I have to make eye contact with all my mates while discussing, instead i stared at our HR . Nonetheless it was a very nice experiece, a learning experience i must say.I congragulate Gk, Megha n Sindhu  for making in to the final HR round .


                I read a Sci fic novel "The Andromeda strain". It was one of Michael Cricton best works.And now he entered in to very shortlist of my favourite authors.
                            

The Rise and Fall of the Decade

By the time you were reading this post, I guess we already signed off the year 2010 , it would be appropriate if we say the decade is over . World has gone several changes in these past 10 years.

One of the most revolutionary changes of this  particular decade has been the evolution of new communication techniques .  In particular, the cell phones  became cheaply available providing access to telecommunications for the very first time  benefiting billions of people across the world . Ten years before none forseen the impact of mobile phone in the day to day life . The internet has ushered to the new standards , exposing the real Digital world . The invention of social networking sites like orkut,facebook, twitter,you tube dismantled the traditional  mode  of  communication, which people had been following from quite a few generations . This inturn redefined the concepts of marketing and public relations. A new term called Citizen journalism has been evolved through these social networking sites .

Right from the initial periods of decade, Almost all every country has suffered with the Terrorism.It started with Pentagon attacks in 2001 , which is probably the worst nightmare for the people of America. The  coutries  then took the terrorism as  threat, and started extirpating the terrorist forces . Srilanka had cut down  LTTE  deep in to the core, perhaps that was the greatest achievement for them since the country’s freedom. New alliances were formed. Old alliances went to war . I really think the terrorism still remains as the foremost global threat in the coming decade also .

The Recession has shook the foundations of global economy , revealing the structural Flaws in the global economic system .According to the experts, the recession that the world has suffered in this decade  is worst than the 1929-1930 great recession . Every country suffered , People lost their jobs , World stock markets plummeted ,IT industries, financial sectors, real estate owners, car industry, investment banking and other industries as well are confronted heavy loss due to the fall down of global economy, Fortunately the recession has been over for a year now.

The world suffered it’s worst natural disasters too. 2004 Indian ocean Earthquake and Tsunami has almost consumed 3 lakh lives . This  tsunami is the deadliest in the history of 450 years.Hawaii earth quake in 2010 , Gujarat earth quake in 2001 , 2008 was the year of the devastating Sichuan earthquake ,   are the major natural disasters in this decade .

This decade has witnessed the arise of new superpowers India and China . The economical arise of these two developing nations are creating the possibilities  for global economical changes. These   Asian giants attracted the  attention by taking global markets by storm and creating an excitement about new economic possibilities .

Coming to Sports . The 2008 Olympics at Beijing will without a doubt be the pinnacle story of the decade .China Stunned the world, played perfect hosts and gave this generation a breathtaking entertainment . South africa was successful too is hosting  soccer world cup earlier this year,  which took critics by surprise.

India Emerged as a No.1 test nation in the year 2008 . It’s probably decade to remember for India . We won the First inaugural T20 world cup, which is by the way the moment of the decade. And the man of the decade is perhaps Sachin tendulkar who just completed his 50 test centuries. Now the BCCI is the world’s wealthiest Cricket board , improved it’s profits from 300 crores in 2001 to 3000 crores in 2010.


The United States elected the first black president Barack Obama


Let’s hope the  forthcoming decade will be as exciting as this decade . Hope India outgrows china in all the aspects(ofcourse except population :p)

10 things that came to my mind while writing this blog post

1. I love winter season. who don't  love to get crawled up
inside the blanket . but when you have exams. You can't do that . can you?. My situation is very similar to the boy in the picture. too much to study but  too little time.Ofcourse every  engineering student suffers with the same problem.
                    Anyway I am half way through, 3 exams were finished . more three to go.To be honest, my exams were satisfactory,mind you not "good" just satisfactory.


2.In  the amidst of exams, i still managed to watch some movies. Thanks to the electives, we got 5 days holidays including a bandh for "EMI" exam, . I watched "The machinist" ,"inception"(for the first time) and "The social network" . All the three were good .But  "The machinist" is one hell of a movie.Christian bale at his best


3.I m a novel addict,more than anyone else if u ask me, Last month I had read 6 novels, and next on my list "Good Omen" and "How Opal Mehta Got  Kissed Got Wild and Got a Life"(pretty long title .. eh? :P)


4.Ooaa! My sweet sister "Karthika" is going to get married to "Ashwin" on 28th of this month.I am ahhhhhh! what a sweet lookin couple . My best wishes for them :)


5. ohh ya! my best friend "Pavan Bhasker" celebrated  his birthday yesterday. I could have dedicated a blog post for him. But damn! exams. Anyway wish u a many many happy returns of the day pavan .


6. Ah! atlast finally India won the third and final  test match of the series. They crushed newzealand comprehensively. This series will be remembered for few things . First Newzealanders they showed great temperment and attitude.Every one thought that this series would be 3-0 series . Surprisingly newzeland fought hard and managed two draws and almost went on to win the first test.Thanks to Bhajji whose outstandng performance made India to save the test match.Hope he continue  performing  well with the bat and India's thirst of Allrounder would be quenched with him .And last the "WALL" still stands. We will see more cricket from Rahul Dravid in near future.


7. Kudos to Somdev who won 2 goldmedals in Asian games.but shooters let us down , I really want to see india in top 5, Hope we will get more medals in the coming days :)


8. "sidney nagaram" from Orange is the best song i have heard lately.Karunya has amazing voice. I was humming this song like 100 times a day .

This and that...

It's 9pm now .I m at home.Exams are gonna start ..and   another non-productive day has passed just like a flashing light.
I m blogging . Dunno why? .You are reading coz you are nice ..  Damn!!  i m not making any sense .:o :o

Ok ok. Don't fret , I just watched "Friends' season 5  episodes .Chandler bing  was hilarious.I laughed my ass off. and the episode in which phoebe gives birth to 3 babies , mann best comedy sequences ever in entire seasons of friends.

phew! I m so happy that my first short story did well .Thanks for the compliments and criticisms friends :)
I just want to share some criticisms given by my friends . one  said that i lacked a bit passion while writing the story .Yes i do.  Thanks dude  i m gonna take that in a possitive way and will try to impress you with my 2nd story. :) , and  many said that  i have to improve  my vocabulary.
yes! my english suckss :(  .., still working on it :)
